Getting Cheap Airfare on the Internet

You can do a Google internet search here. It will open a new window.

MY TWO CENTS

So heres the deal. I got plenty of advice.  Am I an expert?  No.  But I've booked about a hundred flights on the internet in the past 7 years.  So I've been around the block.

My usual approach now, is to check out Expedia.com and Travelocity.com, find the cheapest fare and flights you want, then go to the individual airline (web site) and look up the same flights there, sometimes the fare is more money there but often it will be 5 or 10 bucks cheaper.

I don't like those "place a bid" airfare sites because you don't know what you are getting until you've already signed the dotted line.  Unless it is just a single hop (1-2 hour flight) and you really don't care when you go (early morning or late night), I would stay away from that.

For Hotel Only: Make sure you check cancellation policy if you are not booking directly with hotel - most travel sites will charge a penalty.
